Producer Jerry Williams Jr. (aka Swamp Dogg) took Louisiana legend Lightnin’ Slim’s down home country blues, a cross between Muddy Waters and Lightnin’ Hopkins, and added some soul and funk to the mix – making 1971’s “High & Low Down” one of Slim’s most interesting albums of his impressive career.
