Millennia ago, the corrupted king Zhou (Tony Ka-Fai Leung)-spurred on by his demi-goddess concubine Daji (Bingbing Fan)-brought misery on China's people... and the rebellion brought by Ji Fa (Andy On) and his aged, mystic vizier Jiang Ziya (Jet LI) would foster a war for supremacy waged by fantastic beings on both sides.
