(2-CD set) A great double CD set including Butch Morris with two different ensembles: Disc 1: A striking set from a special New York based group, featuring, among others, J. A. Deane - live sampling, Jason Hwang - violin, Okkyung Lee - cello, Cooper-Moore - piano, Brandon Ross - guitar, Thomas Chess - oud, Matt Moran - vibes, Tyshawn Sorey - drums. This music was recorded at the Biennale di Venezia in Italy in 2003. A multi directional ensemble combining musicians from different cultures and a wide range of exotic instruments such as kora, oud, balafon and guhzeng.
