Solecki in 1953 during excavation in the mountains of Kurdistan, this collection of Kurdish folk songs and dances features the two barreled reed flute, a drum, and various local singers. The authenticity and simple honesty in these songs shines through on this recording. Solecki notes that much like the ballads of our Appalachian mountaineers...
