Kikuko Okajima - Tangerine

Debut work of a talented jazz vocalist from Nagoya. This is the debut work of Kikuko Okajima, who not only teaches many students but also performs at live houses in Tokyo. She is backed by the quintet Yoichi Kobayashi & JJM, and the members' wonderful arrangements bring out the best in her vocals. The attractive vibrato, perfect pitch, and even the sense of rhythm are so amazing that it's hard to believe it was a first recording.
