Kelly Brand - The Door

Featuring some of Chicago's finest musicians, composer/pianist Kelly Brand's debut recording for Origin stands out with a set of all original music highlighting the band's modern group aesthetic and what the Chicago Reader called "noteworthy craftsmanship and flowing serene energy." Besides the horn work of trumpeter Art Davis and saxophonist Geof Bradfield, "The Door" also features vocals by Brand and the propulsive rhythm section of bassist Kelly Sill and drummer Jon Deitemyer.
