Kalo - Spiral Dream

KALO is a newcomer on the current Japanese Progressive rock scene, and "Spiral Dream" (2004) it's first album. Like WAPPA GAPPA or MIZUKAGAMI, the band of the guitarist and keyboards player Masahiro UEMURA faithfully reproduces the art and spirit of successful ancients such as NOVELA, OUTER LIMITS or MAGDALENA. Miori NARITOMI's crystal-clear vocals beautifully enlighten the twelve tracks of this incredible album. The romantic keyboards parts cleverly consort with incisive guitar riffs. This surprising contrast may sometimes remind of the unique eponymous album of the French group STEPS AHEAD, a true landmark for fans of precious symphonies. Here is a real piece of art, that must not be missed by any means !
