Percussionist & drummer Kahil El'Zabar has created an impressive body of recordings with the Ritual Trio & Ethnic Heritage Ensemble. Pharoah Sanders, Archie Shepp, Joseph Jarman & Kalaparusha have recorded with Kahil on Delmark. Billy Bang was a member of the Ritual Trio & has become a hero of the international avant-garde, celebrated for the way he's opened up & personalized the voice of his violin - the warmth he gets from his bluesy bowing & the fires he lights.
