'Heart-hitting-Juliet and the Lonesome Romeos are a group whose new songs sound as if they should be on country or pop radio...fresh and emotionally charged, as though Juliet were a long-lost sister of Lucinda Williams.' Steve Morse, Boston Globe Correspondent. Juliet and the Lonesome Romeos' No Regrets, their debut album released on Nashville-based Tree O Records, marks the emergence of yet another great artist from the fertile Boston music scene. The album is a rich experience of roots-infused pop music with a nod to the country side. The deeply emotional songs travel down the highways and back roads of heartache and hope. The award winning team of Michael Dinallo and Ducky Carlisle produced No Regrets, known as the Tremolo Twins, they have various gold and platinum records to their credit. The album starts with the pop-roots title song "No Regrets", which Boston Globe writer Steve Morse has called "essential". The styles range wide from the country-soul ballads of "Song For You" and "Learn To Love Again" to the stark yet beautiful "Winter Night". The band's love for roots-rock is found in many of the tracks such as "Narcissus", "Wishing Well", "Last Kiss", and "Unkindest Cut" with the latter dealing with the tragedy of schizophrenia. Rounding out the record is the pure country "Faded Highway" and an ode to New Orleans in "September Day". No Regrets truly is an album that has something for everyone and announces to the world the arrival of Juliet Simmons Dinallo and her rich, powerful, take-no-prisoners voice bursting with soul.
