Joshua Breakstone - Memoire

Recorded in August of 2004, "Memoire" is the second of two CDs recorded in France by guitarist Joshua Breakstone alongside two of the most formidable French musicians of today. Bassist Louis Petrucciani is equally stunning here as on the first of the two French sessions, "A Jamais" (CAP #74065), and they are aided and abetted this time out by the riveting drum work of Christian Ton Ton Salut. The program is divided between four classic French songs "Autumn Leaves", "C'est Si Bon", Michel LeGrand's "You Must Believe in Spring", Django Reinhardt's "Nuages" and four Breakstone originals.
