Joonas Haavisto - Moon Bridge

Long-awaited duo album by a talented Scandinavian pianist.Recorded at Rainbow Studios in Oslo, a must for ECM and audiophiles alike.Joonas Haavisto is a Finnish pianist and Kestutis Vaiginis is a Lithuanian saxophonist. They are famous jazz musicians who cannot be avoided when talking about Scandinavian jazz.The album title 'MOON BRIDGE' was inspired by the Engetsu Bridge found in Japanese gardens. The arch is placed so that it's reflection on the surface of the water and the circle formed by the shadow of the arch and it's reflection on the water symbolizes the full moon, which expresses their thoughts of 'symbiosis' of the duo, 'connection' between countries, and our desire to build a bridge to create peace.
