Johnny Mathis - Ride on a Rainbow

Digitally re-mastered edition of this 1959 album from the Pop vocalist. Originally released in the U.S. under the title Heavenly, this would become one of Johnny Mathis' most successful albums stateside, topping the charts for five weeks during the course of a 295 week chart run. For some reason, the UK distributor chose to rename the album to Ride on a Rainbow for British consumption, although this did not affect the album's sales as it would peak at #10. Arranged and conducted by Glenn Osser, the album faithfully follows the formula laid down for Johnny over the course of his previous albums; lush orchestrations and lavish production over a collection of highly romantic songs.
