Big John Hamilton is a southern soul singer who had regional success with 45s recorded for Finley Duncan's Minaret label from 1967, including some popular duets with Doris Allen. Hamilton excelled on country-flavored soul ballads and has been compared with Otis Redding and Ray Charles. This CD contains 21 tracks, 14 previously unheard before with liner notes by John Ridley.
