Jesse Malin - New York Before the War

Vinyl LP pressing. 2015 release, the singer/songwriter's first studio album in 5 years. Malin has made a record about the "daily battle we have to keep the human spirit alive." Early recording sessions began with Don DiLego in rural Virginia and finished at NYC's Magic Shop and Flux Studios. Co-produced by Malin and Derek Cruz, and engineered and mixed by Brian Thorn (David Bowie, Arcade Fire), New York Before The War features a star-studded list of special guests including Peter Buck, Craig Finn, Alejandro Escovedo, Wayne Kramer, and more. The core band for the record features Catherine Popper (Jack White, Ryan Adams, Puss N Boots), Randy Schrager (Scissor Sisters), Derek Cruz (St. Marks Social), Don DiLego (Beautiful Small Machines) and Paul Garisto (Psychedelic Furs)
