Ack Scott was one of the first rock 'n' roll stars to emerge either from his native Ontario in Canada or from his adopted home of Detroit, Michigan, making his chart debut in 1958 and racking up around twenty hits by the end of 1961. His style ranged from country rock through to rockabilly and the sub-genre of deep-voiced rock 'n' roll ballads which brought him his biggest hits, scoring Top 10 US and UK successes with "My True Love", "What in the World's Come Over You" and "Burning Bridges". This great-value 60-track 2-CD set comprises the A & B sides of his 22 singles for the ABC-Paramount, Carlton, Top Rank and Capitol labels during this era, plus all the titles from his albums "Jack Scott" and "What in the World's Come Over You" which were not otherwise released on singles, plus selected tracks from his album "I Remember Hank Williams". It therefore represents a thorough overview of his output during this primary era of his career, naturally including all his chart entries from these years, and it's an intriguing showcase for the varied vocal talents of an artist who undoubtedly deserved to enjoy a longer career at the top
