Immaculate Conception

Having difficulty conceiving a child, American Hannah (Melissa Leo) and Britisher Alistair (James Wilby) hope that a trip to a eunuch shrine in Pakistan will help. Hannah does become pregnant, but the couple soon faces a series of obstacles, including her sudden desire to convert from Judaism to Islam, Alistair's affair with a photographer (Shabana Azmi), and the shrine's members' obsession with the baby.
