I Stand Alone

In this jarring character study, 50-year-old Parisian referred to only as "the Butcher" (Philipe Nahon) tries to start his life over after spending time in prison for assaulting a man he believed raped his daughter. But after being fired from a job at a deli, the Butcher returns home to be reunited in a sleazy hotel with his abandoned daughter, contemplating thoughts of incest, murder, and suicide.
