Human Desire

Fritz Lang's loose adaptation of Émile Zola's novel "La Bête Humaine" is a taut film noir drama. Glenn Ford stars as Jeff Warren, a train engineer whose affair with the beautiful-and married-Vicki Buckley (Gloria Grahame) could land him in all sorts of trouble, as it turns out Vicki's husband Carl (Broderick Crawford) has committed a murder and now she might want Jeff to get rid of him... permanently.
