In the early days, Hoot Strings was a band with a strong rockabilly and punk rock influence, but their music is not bound by conventional genres or forms, and even now, more than 15 years after their formation, they continue to absorb the sounds they like one by one and expand their musicality in order to simply create good music. Although they are in Japan, the sound they seek is heavily influenced by overseas rock, soul, country, and folk, mainly from the United States, and their pop sense is different from that of so-called J-POP, and they are searching for their own musical value without being influenced by trends or the times. Asthe title suggests, this 5-song EP 'Calendar' was created with the cycle of a year as it's motif, and the hidden theme of the first four tracks is 'Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.' Featuring female choruses and acoustic guitars, they play an unprecedented organic sound, but they also try to incorporate electronic sounds such as synthesizers, and a new image of Hoot Strings is drawn here. And they completed the work by re-recording 'Days For The Day,' a staple song from their early days of live performances, and recording it at the end as a bonus track, which is based on the motif of the days of making music with friends. The EP 'Calendar' will be like a small calendar on your desk, adding a seasonal accent to the spiraling daily life.Songlist1.
