Hikagamiza - Urakawa Meeting

This box set contains recordings made in a room on a ranch in Hokkaido.Special guest Otomo Yoshihide plays guitar on all tracks.'Hikagami' is a unit formed by Uchimura Itaru and Miyashita Singalong. Nagai Hidekazu from 'Yuransen' and Tachibana Yasuhiko from 'Total Knockout Orchestra' joined them to form 'Hikagamiza'. Based on good old folk music, Nagai's improvisational and versatile beautiful piano melody and Tachibana's free yet accommodating bass support the overall sound.They performed with Otomo Yoshihide at 'Minna no Ongakukai 2024' held in Urakawa-cho, Hokkaido, and the words and sounds spun from their conversation mysteriously became jazz. This encounter resulted in the album 'URAKAWA MEETING'.Otomo Yoshihide participated in all the songs with his guitar, recorded at home.It is also a rare CD where you can hear him playing on a Telecaster.We recorded in a room on the ranch grounds, feeling the vast nature of Hokkaido, where many wild animals live.In an open environment different from a studio, we sometimes went outside to weave words and sounds to complete the song.It is 'living music' that is filled with the spirit and atmosphere of the time.Songlist1.
