Recently promoted to associate editor at a posh New York photography magazine, Syd (Radha Mitchell) is unexpectedly drawn into the dysfunctional world of her upstairs neighbor, burned-out photographer Lucy (Ally Sheedy), and experiments with drugs and lesbianism, much to the dismay of her boyfriend (Gabriel Mann).
