Herbie Hancock - Thrust / Manchild / Secrets

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a trio of albums by Herbie Hancock: Thrust, Manchild and Secrets. Thrust, released in 1974, was the follow up to the platinum selling album Headhunters, Thrust reached #13 on the Billboard album chart exactly the same chart position as Headhunters. The album featured only four tracks, and this Robinsongs' version gives you the single edits of the four tracks as bonus tracks. Manchild is probably Herbie's funkiest album and features the single 'Hang Up Your Hang Ups' which featured great guitar licks by Wah Wah Watson. The album also featured Louis Johnson (Brothers Johnson), Stevie Wonder and Harvey Mason to name but a few. Again the album fared really well making #21 on the Top 200 albums chart. This reissue includes the 7" versions of 'Hang Up Your Hang Ups' and 'Sun Touch' as bonus tracks. Secrets kicks off with the jazz funk classic 'Doin' It' which featured both Wah Wah Watson and Ray Parker Jr on guitar, it doesn't get funkier than that. And once again there are the single edits of 'Doin' It' and 'People Music' included as bonus tracks.
