Portraying dramatic situations that occur during the construction of the first transcontinental railroad, this AMC western series set in 1865 focuses on the story of ex-Confederate soldier Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), who obtains a foreman's job working for the Union Pacific Railroad while searching for his wife's murderers.
