Goodbye Paradise

On Australia's Gold Coast, broken-down ex-cop Michael Stacey (Ray Barrett) was learning that writing a tell-all exposé wasn't leaving him many friends left outside of a bottle. Needing the cash, he accepts the request of an old acquaintance senator (Don Pascoe) to track down his runaway daughter-and the trail finds him running up against underground cultists, Queensland separationists, and other oddballs. Chandleresque charmer co-stars Robyn Nevin, Guy Doleman, Lex Marinos, Paul Chubb. 119 min.
