A tailor's apprentice who can barely speak a word around women has, secretly, written a "how to" book for young men titled "The Secret of Making Love" with tips on how to romance young women. In a chance meeting with Mary, she glimpses his writings and he overcomes his stutter while talking about his project. Many misunderstands ensue - but will Harold's book lead to his own true love?
