Freddy LaBour, known to millions as the Grammy winning bass player and righteously funny Too Slim with cowboy music icons Riders In The Sky, steps out on his own with this set of tuneful, wacky original songs and yes, poetry. 'I wanted this record to sound like what people hear when they see me live,' says Mr. Say No More. 'Lots of energy, good clean fun, and one cuss word. I told my engineer I wanted it to sound like a Donovan or a Tom Paxton record from 1965. Sure enough, it does.' After forty years going up and down the road making entertainments, how does Mr. LaBour view his place in the show business? 'I'm the pickle. You know, you go into a fine deli and order a sandwich, and you didn't go there for the pickle. You didn't ask for the pickle. You never even think about the pickle. And yet, when your sandwich comes, there it is, the pickle. And you like it, and it adds something to the meal. That's me. I give the audience the pickle.'
