On this release Felix 'Sugar Fingers' Roach performs well-known gospel tunes on the Bosendorfer Imperial Concert Grand piano in the Lord Kitchener (Aldwin Roberts) auditorium located at the National Academy for the Performing Arts. Felix Roach is a Berklee-trained Trinidad and Tobago musician who played piano and collaborated in many musical performances for three decades. He received the Hummingbird Gold medal in 2004 and has been steadfastly contributing his musical talents to spiritual enterprises since then. Roach has worked musically with several religious groups, including the Church of the Incarnation in Maloney and the choir at St Jude's in Arima. He delights in sharing his music for "God's work", so this most recent collaboration with the Sons of God Chorus is an extension of his spiritual musical outreach. This release contains 21 well-known gospel tunes. Recorded using 24Bit HDCD technology the sound quality of this release is of audiophile quality. High Definition Compatible Digital, or HDCD is a Microsoft proprietary audio encode-decode process that claims to provide increased dynamic range over that of standard Redbook audio CDs, while retaining backward compatibility with existing Compact disc players.
