When classical violinist Diadorious Bryant met and married Matilda Genevieve Scaduto, a former elevator operator, their union as Felice and Boudleaux Bryant heralded the dawning of a fairytale songwriting partnership. Beginning in 1946, the husband and wife team kicked off their careers by crafting country songs for the likes of Carl Smith, Red Foley and Little Jimmy Dickens.
