Extreme Private Eros: Love Song 1974 (Gokushiteki Erosu: Renka 1974)

This documentary refuses comfort, instead placing it's camera close to a woman determined to live without apology. Kazuo Hara's controversial 1975 portrait of his former partner explores feminism, sexuality, and self-definition in a society unprepared for such candor. Intimate and confrontational, the film feels less like observation and more like a challenge issued directly to the viewer.
