Exterminators

They're part detective, part hit man, part scientist and part cowboy. They prowl the underbelly of the urban landscape in pursuit of their prey. EXTERMINATORS follows the people who help control New York City's roaches and rats. Like hired guns, they take care of business and then disappear. They go where others dare not go and see what others fear to see. EXTERMINATORS introduces those on the front line: a husband and wife team who breed huge Madagascar roaches because you must understand your enemy; a man who prowls the subway tracks at night fighting to control the rat population; a Department of Health official who leads teams of exterminators through neglected buildings and abandoned lots. And meet a former exterminator who now writes poetry about the profession as well as those who don't believe in pest control and think the problem is not with the pests but with the slovenly ways of humans.
