La donna della domenica" (aka "The sunday woman" - "La femme du Dimanche"), is the film directed by Luigi Comencini in 1975 and interpreted by Jacqueline Bisset, Marcello Mastroianni, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Aldo Reggiani and Pino Caruso. based on the crime novel by Fruttero & Lucentini, the film is about inspector Santamaria' s investigation following the murder of a mysterious architect and his contacts with the middle-class of Turin, where he meets a charming lady, Anna Carla. the original score, composed by Ennio Morricone, contains all the elements he loves in music. the score contains different variations of the main theme, a romantic piece which describes the femininity of the female main character but also hints at her mysterious and dark sides. when the film was released, cinevox released only a 7" with the tracks "la donna Della Domenica" (side a) and "Torino di notte" (side b). this is the first complete edition ever released and it contains all the music recorded in 1975 in a new restored and remastered version. 36 minutes of very good music.
