A master of the electric violin, Elliott Fisher was a much in demand session player, especially during the 1960's when his electric violin could be heard on many film soundtracks as well as the popular 60's TV shows "The Twilight Zone," "Outer Limits," and "My Favorite Martian." He can be found on many "exotica" releases on the ultra lounge label as well as sessions for Nat "King" Cole, Sam Cooke, and countless other jazz and pop artists. In 1976 Fisher released the funky jazz album "In the Land of Make Believe," featuring some of the top session players of the day including Dennis Budimir (guitar); Greg Poree (guitar); Harvey Mason (drums); Clare Fischer (keyboards); Mike Wofford (keyboards); Larry Bunker (percussion); Joe Porcaro (percussion); Carol Kaye (bass); Buddy Collette (flute); Jack Nimitz (flute); Dale Anderson (percussion);Gary Coleman (guitar) and Ron Tutt (drums) with Benny Golson arranging. The album features funky soul-jazz arrangements of popular classics including "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," Eleanor Rigby' and Chuck Mangione's "Land of Make Believe." Finally available in the digital domain, all selections newly remastered.
