Silent film legend Colleen Moore (The Scarlet Letter) plays the eponymous Ella Cinders in this contemporary reimagining of the classic Cinderella fairy tale directed by the inimitable Alfred E. Moore is delightful as the lowly Ella, a household drudge who sees an opportunity to escape her miserable life when she wins a beauty contest and is promised an acting job in Hollywood.
