Featuring songs with titles eluding to the playwright such as "Sonnet for Caesar," "Lady Mac," and "The Star-Crossed Lovers" the album features Ellington like you've never heard him before. This remastered re-release features original liner note by producer Irving Townsend alongside newly added liner notes by Bill Berry and Phil Schaap.
