Doris Troy - Can't Hold on / Another Look

A native of the Bronx, New York, R&B vocalist Doris Troy was discovered by James Brown and became known to her legion of fans as “Mama Soul.” Troy worked with Solomon Burke, The Drifters, Cissy Houston, and Dionne Warwick, before striking out on her own with the self penned "Just One Look", which rose to the #10 slot on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1963, cementing her stature in soul music history. Presented here is her classic 1977 12” disco single “Can't Hold On” b/w “Another Look,” newly remastered.
