Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the Los Angeles-born Soul vocalist. Produced by Chuck Jackson (of the production team of Jackson & Yancy, responsible for Natalie Cole's many hits), Going for the Glow featured several stellar compositions like the US Top 30 R&B hit, the funky, dance-flavored 'Scuse Me, While I Fall in Love,' written by a then-emerging solo star Luther Vandross and longtime friend, singer/songwriter David Lasley; and two compositions - the infectious title track and 'It's Something' (later recorded by Lalah Hathaway) from stellar tunesmith and artist in her own right, Brenda Russell. Top L.A. players on the sessions included Patrice Rushen, Nathan East, Paul Jackson Jr.. and Ndugu Chancler.
