Detroit Social Club - Existence

2010 debut album from Newcastle rockers Detroit Social Club. Self-described as "Analogue experimentation of the modern kind. Retro-Big beat-Gospel influenced-junkie folk, made in 1970's New York", the band take influences from the likes of acts as diverse as Velvet Underground and de la Soul. A full-on raucous affair, some of the songs on Existence were written as long ago as 2007, but worth wait as Existence is sure to be on many Top 10 lists in 2010. Polydor.
