The Angels, Who Would Go On To Become One Of The Iconic Girl Groups Of The 1960s, Had Their Roots In Two Earlier Female Vocal Groups, The Delicates And The Starlets, Both Of Whom Were Hugely Popular In New York. This Compilation Traces Their Evolution, And Includes Everything Recorded By All Three Groups Between 1959-62 Featuring, At Different Times, The Lead Voices Of Peggy Santiglia, Linda Malzone, And Linda Jansen. Included Herein Are Their Early Hits, Viz: The Delicates' 'Ronnie Is My Lover' And 'Black & White Thunderbird'; The Starlets' 'P. S. I Love You'; And The Angels' 'Til', 'Cry Baby Cry' And 'Everybody Loves A Lover'. Also Included, In It's Entirety, Is The Angels' First LP "And The Angels Sing". This Is The First Time That This Body Of Work Has Been Thus Compiled, And A Great Many Of These Sides Are Well-Nigh Impossible To Find Elsewhere On CD.
