On the record, the band moves beyond past-tales of love, heartache and loneliness toward more rewarding and hopeful horizons. As Marshall LaCount explains, 'These songs are about new beginnings, and usually have a little triumphant twist in them. The songs are often about a character finding a place or growing in the world in a positive way, and the little exciting and sometimes strange interactions that happen along the way.'
