Magic Honey places him at the top of today's Southern Soul singers, joined by longtime Neville Brother drummer Willie Green, iconic New Orleans piano players Allen Toussaint and Dr. John, Blues guitarist Walter Trout, and fellow Royal Southern Brotherhood guitarist Mike Zito. The album was produced by David Z (Prince, Etta James, Jonny Lang).
