Connecting Rooms

In a shabby London boarding house, Wanda Fleming (Bette Davis)-a classically-trained cellist now busking for change-finds a tentative bond forming with neighbor James Wallraven (Michael Redgrave), a schoolmaster turned janitor. Their future might be compromised when Wanda's grasping folksinger mentee (Alexis Kanner) looks to blackmail James over the reasons for his fall from grace.
