Commoner - Former Self (Black Ice / Gold)

Black Ice / Gold - On their debut full-length Former Self, Commoner balances the raw intensity of post-hardcore and noise rock with a darker, atmospheric edge. A window of reflection for each member, exploring change, memory, and the process of moving forward while closing a chapter in the band's writing that had long felt like it needed an ending. Former Self is heavy, vulnerable, and deeply personal without ever feeling preached.
