Formed in 2008 by keyboardist, composer, and producer Johnny Maz, Code 18 has steadily built a reputation for richly textured symphonic prog-rock rooted in thoughtful composition and dynamic musical interplay. Johnny Maz, also known for his work in the acclaimed prog collective HUIS, serves as the main creative force behind Code 18-writing, arranging, and producing the music that defines the project's unique sonic identity. Joined by talented collaborators JF Remillard on guitar and Benoit "Bonz" Plamondon on vocals, Code 18 debuted with the critically noted concept album Human Error! In 2020. That release explored narrative and musical contrasts with sweeping arrangements and vibrant instrumental craftsmanship.
