If there ever was a proper title for a Chuck Berry greatest hits compilation, ICON is it, for he is certainly one. An original member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Chuck virtually invented the musical and verbal language of the music in a classic series of 50s and 60s recordings for Chess Records, the core of which are presented on this new collection. These are the songs and recordings that inspired the Beatles, the Rolling Stones etc, etc, never mind millions of fans and bands since.
