Cherubini/ Manfrino/ Thebault/ Gueze/ Pruvot - Lodoiska

Cherubini's opera Lodoiska is the third recording of leading French period instrument orchestra Le Cercle de l'Harmonie on naive/ambroisie. This is the first complete recording of the work on period instruments. This recording is a major step in the rediscovery of a composition deeply rooted in a context of revolution, both political and musical, that we are still the heirs even today.
