Carl Weathersby was the co-leader of the Sons of Blues, one of Chicago's premier blues bands. His debut release under his own name (last year's Don't Lay Your Blues on Me) earned him a W.C. Handy Award nomination for "Best New Blues Artist." on this new CD, Carl plays even harder and funkier, coming up with over an hour's worth of original blues and imaginative covers - not old standards.
