The twentieth edition of the Musica Sacromontana festival presents a rare opportunity to rediscover masterpieces preserved in the archives of the Philippine Fathers' sanctuary in Gostyn. Composed four decades apart, these two litanies trace the development of a Central European Classical idiom enriched by local traditions-from the lucid architecture and elegant contrasts of Zeidler to the heightened dramatic expression and virtuoso writing of Wanski.
