Buster & Eddie - Can't Be Still / There I Was

Los Angeles brothers Tommy (aka Buster) and Eddie Williams sang in many different groups but only had a handful of releases as duo or as solo artists. 'Can't Be Still' is their best-known track after being belatedly spun at Wigan Casino in the mid-70s. It became a 'monster sound' and was subsequently re-pressed from the original record plates to satisfy demand. It is now considered a classic northern oldie from the golden era. The flip 'There I Was' is more of an up-tempo harmony pop record than a soul number. Despite it's pop sensibility, it has picked up many admirers over the decades and is highly regarded among collectors.
