Brook Benton - Jasmine EP Collection

This compilation of classic Brook Benton tracks is drawn from EPs issued in the U.S., the U.K., France, The Netherlands and Australia, between 1959 and 1962. It comprises eighteen of his early hits, alongside a dozen cuts which started life as either B-sides or album tracks. Benton possessed one of the classiest, most readily-identifiable baritones in the history of Popular Music. Yet he was by no means an overnight success, and it took him a few years to make it. However, between 1959 and the mid 60s he recorded a near-faultless body of work, for the Mercury label, and sold millions of records.
