Fascinating noirish thriller, based on the novel "Once Too Often" by Whitman Chambers, in which San Francisco society reporter Claire Cummings (Leslie Brooks) marries a rich businessman (John Holland)... and promptly murders him for his money. Her next target is a senatorial candidate (Michael Whalen), but it's Claire's hapless lover (Robert Paige) who just might wind up taking the fall for the beautiful black widow.
